Beth & Simon | Wedding Photography Peckham London

What a joy to shoot. Beth & Simon were my last wedding of 2022. Beth rode her regular bus route to Southwark registry office in Camberwell and then they headed to the Begging Bowl (The venues first wedding & where the couple shared their first ever date) for the reception.

Their 2 year old daughter made a gorgeous appearance after the ceremony in a bewildered state, and then trotted happily away again with her favourite nursery carer. Wise decisions like this, filtered through their day which felt so unpretentious, relaxed and filled with joy, love and warmth. They gushed with love for each other but in a very grounded and level headed way that perhaps comes with 2 years of parenting together!

AMAZING Thai, Asian cooking enhanced all the good stuff. Beth wore a dress that she already had in her wardrobe, got ready at her friend’s house and unsprisingly got uop and made a speech equal to Simon’s (which was lovely too!)

The brief “We really love the sentiment and warmth in your photos. The whole ethos of our wedding is a non-performative, non-stuffy celebration with our family and closest friends, some delicious food afterwards and a good dance.”
