COUPLE SHOOTS | THIRD WHEELING Photography Shoots

As always keeping things as straight-forward, relaxed and uncringe as possible. These are designed to be a natural, fun hang out in which we do something nice and take some photos at the same time.

It doesn’t matter if I’m shooting your wedding or you just fancy a quirky date together or/and a chance to make a record of a nice chapter in your couple life. They are great way to spend some quality time together, get to know me more (before your wedding) and to have some beautiful photos of you together to put up on the wall for those “he’s left the toilet seat up” days!

THE NAME : Comes from me being an experienced and very content 3rd wheel to some of the top couples in the UK & beyond.

WHAT : Basically, we have a date. Whatever that looks like to you both. We’ll sit for an hour of so, have a drink, maybe a slice of cake and get to know a bit about one another. We also work out a photo plan that melts around your day. Then; we have a walk, put you both in nice light, explore how we’ll take your photograph, be a bit silly and capture some relaxed photos of you hanging out. It’s really quite nice.

WHERE: If you are paying for me to travel or coming to the midland area, here are some examples and ideas of where you might want to meet

WHEN : Either as part of you booking a Curious Rose Wedding package (It’s discounted for wedding couples & erases any photo phobia for the day) or as a nice gift to each other for being a good team. I generally do these on weekdays and have more time for them in the autumn, winter months. The golden hours, near sunrise/sunset are great if you’re after some gorgeous light to bask in.

For wedding couples - I suggest you book this is when you’ve paid the deposit or 1-3 months before the big day. When you have an idea of when, get in touch about a month before and we can share available dates to get something booked.

WHY : I want to get to know you both as a couple and make sure we collaborate in a way that you’re comfortable with and brings out the best in you both. I’m also a big part of your day, so it feels right that we hang out before the wedding day. It builds trust; you see how I work, enjoy yourself and see lovely results, so on the wedding day you relax and forget about photography.

HOW DO I PREPARE: Wear something you feel the best version of yourself in and more importantly comfortable. Have a read of “where to 3rd wheel” and let me know where our date is.

HOW LONG : I’m not strict, I genuinely really enjoy meeting people, drinking and eating but about 90 minutes unless we discuss having an extended session (Mostly for stand alone couple shoots).

HOW MUCH? Prices start from £350 for the stand alone sessions.

*Travel, studio hire and accommodation not included.

FIONA & MATTHEW

"Laura mentioned that it would be a good idea to do an “engagement shoot”, as the groom this was something I was a little unsure of. However it was a great experience – it really gave Fiona and I the opportunity to feel relaxed with Laura and get us used to being in front of the camera… I would definitely recommended you do this. It also reinforced that we had made the right decision to have Laura involved in our wedding. She completely “got us” and understood how we wanted to work – relaxed, informal and not too many choreographed photos. Laura blended into the day and when we were with her she enabled us to have that time together which was pretty rare throughout the day."
