THE BRIEF
Relaxed, Romantic & Intimate Wedding Photography at the Fleece Inn Pub in Bretforton, Worcestershire.
Sarah said "A very relaxed feel. Capturing the mood of the day generally. Some formal photos of the family, but mainly un-posed shots of us and the guests."
Sarah & Rob were immediately my kind of couple. Sarah booked me based on loving one of my favourite rural weddings, "Fiona & Matthew's beautiful & romantic garden wedding", plus we had a good chat on the phone and we were in tune with how we felt the photography should fit into their wedding.
This was confirmed when we met up for a little wine date at Gloucester Docks and got on fabulously and took some mega relaxed gorgeous photos of them in the sunset which they loved.
THE DAY
To reflect these relaxed vibes, the church service was intimate and took place at St Egwins Church in the rural village of Badsey with a rather jolly and charismatic vicar. We then journeyed not too far to the Fleece Inn Pub in Bretforton. I used to cycle to the pub as a kid with Dad and sample one of their local brews in this 15th century thatched proper old British pub, owned by the National Trust and run with a real love of tradition and it remains and Ural gem.
The Barn where they held the wedding reception was bathed in the most beautiful flowers and Sarah had excelled in designing a natural, cosy and stylish theme which sat perfectly on the long benches under the heaters. The speeches were heartfelt and humourous, the food was delicious and warm and the crowd where warm and welcoming.
A highlight and special thanks goes to Sarah's Mum who'd make tiny quiches for lunch before the girls got into their dresses. Always the way to my heart at a wedding!
