Fiona & Matthew Countryside Wedding

In the heart of the midlands, Fiona & Matthew had a beautiful countryside wedding in Fiona's parents orchards on the lawn of their black and white thatched home.

Braving the British weather they wed on the garden lawn and then had the reception in the marque nestled amongst the fruit trees.

The entire day was filled with great friends and family, delicious food, good music, laughter and chatter.

Fiona was a calm and beautiful bride and Matthew looked dashing in his family tartan waistcoat.

Dancing in the moonlight at the end of their superbly special day.

New Zealand to Australia Wedding

Cory & Elise really radiate sparkle wherever they go. And their double wedding celebration didn't disappoint, filled to the brim with all the good stuff.....

They started off their wedding festivities with an intimate low key ceremony in their home town of Paraparaumu in New Zealand, on a lifestyle plot surrounded by native bush, ducks and sheep. The food van served up the best in delicious grub, Elise had created fabulous and playlists and being a handbag designer is the first bride I've photographed with a handbag.

Then in fitting a contrast Cory and Elise then headed back to their current home of Melbourne and celebrated in true Melbourne style with great food, eating the best ham and cheese Rustica croissants, sugary Short Stop donuts and washed down with delicious cocktails made by their talented friend. Then the party headed out for the best live music at Laneway Festival.

So much glitter and sparkle x

Very Important People VIP

I'm so excited to be part of this amazing project. VIP founded by the wonderful Nicki Kelly, is funded by the Arts Council England and supported by Royal National Institution of the Blind (RNIB) and is a music project for visually impaired people (VIP) aged 18-35.

The project is a series of songwriting and performance workshops delivered by established and experienced singer-songwriters and producers within the music industry....this lovely bunch.

Have a look at the website....

This fabulous bunch are the talented songwriters who will be taking the workshops and/or supporting the project.

Spring Shoots

A beautiful pair in a stunning setting, luckily the down pour stopped to capture these fab moments.

Looking forward to the wedding! Lx

It's really wonderful to work with other small business; creating the photographs for Stag Lodge was a treat. Owed by Mark & Janine Vance who also own the the very successful White Hart, it's been beautifully renovated as the White Hart's slightly quirkier next door neighbour. Yet it still provides that cosy country chic vibe that we expect from a hotel situated in the heart of the Cotswolds.

NESSIE & NIC NAC Fabulous Gitterati Thirty Party

Nic & Nessie high fived their 30th birthdays in style by throwing a fabulous Glitterati Party. They set the bar high for future celebrations & made me eager to capture more of these special moments, two fingers up to only hiring a photographer on your wedding day hey?

An artistic photographers dream; set at the wonderful eclectic London venue, Dalston Boys Club. Martha generously invites special guests into her home for similar creative events, including weddings. The space is full of all her wonderful & whimsical possessions, a burning log fire can be organised too and some carefully selected jazz music which all went perfectly with the glamorous & glittery theme of the party. To top it all off more magical moments were whizzed up by the truly amazing and talented Max Magic on this cold November night.

We will remember the 5th of November this year.

JAMES & CHARLIE and a big red bus

The day oozed creative heartfelt simplicity.

From the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, to the Rose & Crown, Stoke Newington Town Hall & then we hopped on a vintage London bus to the Londesborough pub; Charlie remained the coolest most natural & beautiful (organised) bride ever.

From the first time that I met James & Charlie (for a cocktail & some tacos), it was always very clear that they were the best of friends & also madly in love & the day was a true reflection of this. A online dating success story, the entire day was relaxed and filled with laughter, honest words & celebration of an epic union between two groups of awesome family & friends.

Charlie had carefully hand picked local small London suppliers, with a short 70's dress from Indie Bride London, sugary flowers from Grace & Thorn & the most AMAZING salted caramel and chocolate cake from Violet Bakery. The whole day was thoughtful & personal.

Then...a bloody great knees up that kept the photographer there until the lights came up :)

Thank you James & Charlie,

Laura xxx

BRIAR & SAM what a bloody pleasure...

As second shooter for the very talented Florence Fox Photography, I had the bloody pleasure of shooting the wedding of Briar and Sam. Such a beautiful wedding, relaxed and full of celebration of love family and friendship, in a grand but shabby chic location tucked away in the beautiful Welsh countryside at  Plas Dinam Country House.

And branding

Over the past four years I have practiced yoga regularly and it has really helped keep my head in the clouds and feet on the ground. It helps me to create some space in a world full of information and noise.

I am extremely excited to be working with the brand 'and breathe...', a start up yoga brand, creating a brand identity and communicating it's ethos to the growing followers. It's not about radically changing your current lifestyle but how everyone can introduce a bit of space into their lives to help them enjoy more, achieve more 'and breathe' more....

The added bonus of course is that it's my big sis.

Nine Women by Elena Thomas- Private View

What an honour to document this event for this incredible artist, friend and role model. Since I was a kid, I relished her visits, when she would arrive with some form of arts or craft for me to discover. After a successful career as an art teacher she is now concentrating fully on her own work, and with lottery funding from the Arts Council, completed her impressive project Nine Women which I was asked to photograph and film.

It was a pleasure to not only capture the work but also the reaction of the audience; who were encouraged to respectfully interact with the work of the pre-loved and laboriously embroidered bras, that bounced around the gallery space. As well as watch Elena perform several of her songs which accompany the work, these also played as a recording in the gallery. The combination of words, both embroidered and in the music and the physical work created a very powerful instillation which created a very female friendly environment, reflecting the fierce, passionate nature of Thomas and the middle-aged women which much of this piece focuses on.

Mr & Mrs Waring

What a privilege to capture such a wonderful day, celebrating with this epic couple and all their incredible family and friends, in the beautiful setting of Sanky Marine in a jungle of weeping willows. It is a hard act to follow, in what I hope to be the start of many photography jobs as magic as this.
